I, like Ashley, am just in school. In fact, I've been in school for a really long time. I'll be in 22nd grade in August. But, I do actually teach an undergraduate course in reading education. Basically, I teach teachers how to teach children how to read.
But let's get back to the point here...If you were in a college class and a girl came in in a shiny animal print number, would you take her seriously? Would you believe that she could teach you something?
sweater: TJ Maxx leopard shirt: a gift from noelle pants: TJ Maxx shoes: Urban Outfitters belt: thrift store purse: TJ Maxx
These are the things PhD students lay awake thinking about at night. Well, probably not all PhD students...just this one.

I think if it were low cut, I'd say NO WAY, but it is very conservative leopard.
Hmmmm, I would think she was pretty cool but maybe assume I could get away with a lot :)
The guys might not take you seriously tho, I'm afraid.
As a friend, I think the outfit is HOT though! I would totally wear this anywhere else! In fact, I want it :)

i love that you're loving the leopard shirt :)
So, I know this is way after the fact, but I'm just joining the band of followers of this super awesome blog. Personally, I respect my teachers more when they are current in their wardrobe, hair, etc... It just makes me like them more. I think you can totally wear leopard print!
my husband just finished his phd and will be a professor next year. i have been to way too many BORING conferences and events where everyone looks drab drab drab. i always get a kick out of wearing something bold and bright to these events because i know i'll be the only one doing so. so...i say wear the leopard print. bring some style and class to the phd world!
I absolutely love the print. It's a very chic blouse and it's such a great pairing with the belt. As a fellow doc student who teaches two masters classes as well as a class at the local community college, I would def wear this! You look fab!
