Spring, literally.

As you may already know, I used to teach elementary school.  I was surrounded by middle-aged women who dressed according to holidays and seasons.  There must be an unwritten teacher rule somewhere that states the following:

In December, you are to wear oversized vests with stockings embroidered and a jingle bell pin.
In October, you best find something orange and black striped.
And in April, whip out your best pastel button ups.

Although I don't have any pastel button ups, I do have floral prints.

Can I take spring literally and wear a floral print? Or do I look like I am following a teacher unwritten rule?
