I think in every candid picture of me I am making some sort of face with my eyebrows up and my mouth wide open. I can't help myself, I get embarrassingly excited for most things in life.
The only issue I have with always squinting my eyes is wrinkles. I'm only 25, but I have got some serious eye wrinkles going on. I think it's a mixture of always squinting and spending any free moment I have in the sun. Here are some examples of the face:
It probably doesn't help that I teach school and spend 6 out of the 7 hours saying "OH WOW LOOK AT THAT!" with my eyebrows up and my mouth wide open. The other hour I spend giving the students a death glare when they do dumb things.
So my question, I am looking into getting some anti-age wrinkle cream. If you notice I buy my clothes at thrift stores and TJ Maxx so I'm obviously looking on the budgeted side. Have you used an eye cream? Do you have ANY recommendations? I would rather go in with some sort of clue than just blindly choose one by whatever one is packaged nicely and on sale.
oh and sorry this just has to be said, do you think the producers on the bachelorette hate ashley? how can they stand to edit it, how are they making her look even more pathetic with every passing second???

I know nothing about wrinkle cream, although I should probably educate myself before too long. However, I feel the same way about Ashley. She does look pretty pathetic. What I want to know is how much Chris Harrison is filled in on what the guys have said behind her back as he sits there "consoling" her.
Okay first let me say it's awesome that you sill get so excited about things in your life. That is awesome! Second girl, get some sunglasses. That might help with squinting and always use sun screen rain or shine all over!
I use an eye cream from Origins. I am 26 and my eyes are always swollen in the morning so that may not be the best for your purpose. Maybe try an Olay one. They seem to have all around good products.
Cheers,
Bre
I researched this to death a couple of years ago when I started to stress about my crow's feet. The only thing that is actually medically proven to rebuild skin cells to eliminate wrinkles is Retin-A. I only know of a couple of ways to get it. One is to drive into Mexico (my mom used to do this all the time and she'd always pick some up for me). The other is to get a prescription. I asked my doctor for one claiming it was for acne (which I sort of do struggle with) so insurance covers it.
The next best thing is to look for an over-the-counter product containing retinol. It's a dumbed-down version of Retin-A and should do the same trick. I just prefer to get the real potent stuff.
hmmm i'm not going to be much help, but i do know that anything that contains colagen (spelling?) is supposed to be great for that!
ahh the magic of tv editing.. my best friend works in tv production.. she she always fills me in on how much editing goes on.. i think producers definitely pick a theme they want to stick to and then manipulate each scene to support their theme.. blah!
Olay ProX deep wrinkle...best over the counter cream I've tried. It's half price on amazon.

Ok i actually have a valuable comment this time. I had tried a lot of creams with no real success...my eyes were getting softer but no reduction in actual wrinkles. Then I did some research and got some great recommendations for Strivectin. THEN I saw it at Nordstrom Rack and at Costco! It started as a stretchmark creme and then women started using them on their eyes and seeing some serious changes, so now they make an eye cream. I LOVE it. It's expensive but I'm starting to realize it's a necessary grooming cost. You wear your skin forever and I too make an absurd amount of ridiculous, wrinkly faces.
I'm not sold on all the expensive stuff, so I just use Cetaphil every night before I go to bed. It's thick but not greasy, and very inespensive. The money you save on eye cream can go toward a facial or a massage, which is good for wrinkles, too! (I teach 7th grade and can totally relate. I think the kids are giving me wrinkles AND grey hair.)

OK, I'm 33 and INSANELY expressive with my face so I think I can give a little advice here - most people think I'm in my 20's so I have to be doing something right, right? :)
I use Neutrogena Ageless Intensives eye cream, it has retinol in it. I don't have bad eye wrinkles yet so I only use it at night. It's nice and moisturizing plus it smoothes out the wrinkles - with a drugstore price tag.

I use Vichy Aqualia Thermal something. :) It's great, worth the money. Be careful and buy a product that doesn't contain parabens!

I use the Neutrogena one too. You can usually get a coupon for Neutrogena stuff on their website and Target usually sends them out in their coupon books (they get your address if you order something online from them). I've been using it for years...embarassing.
PS-Kat's face in that second pic is sweet, and Haley is so big now! Wow!
I like Burt's Bees Naturally Ageless Line Smoothing Eye Cream. It's made from natural ingredients and you can feel it firming things up. Whatever you get... you can check it out on the Skin Deep data base to make sure your ingredients aren't toxic. http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/
Your blog is so cute! :)
I use to sell Avon and I have some eye creams that I would sell to you super cheap! They are just sitting in my house and I need to get rid of them. They are from the Anew line, which is suppose to be REALLY good!
Let me know if you want any!
lol. I think I just peed my pants a little. You're hilarious.
I totally feel you on the Ashley thing. Pretty sure they're trying to make her look bad...
