Shirt Wars

Prior to getting married I had never seen any trilogy of movies. No Indiana Jones, Back to the Futures, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, you name it, I hadn't seen it.

Behind me in the first picture is the Port of Oakland, which is a really cool place to go (um, for me and probably like 7 year old boys) but those HUGE machines in the background are what inspired George Lucas to create the AT-AT's in Star Wars. When my husband informed me of that, I was slightly more curious to see these Star Wars movies. So I watched all of the old ones. (And can I just say how SHOCKED I was when it was revealed that luke and leia were brother-sister, I had gone years thinking they were lovers, and was rooting for them to kiss the whole movie, well until I found out they were siblings).

Sorry, that was kind of a tangent, my real point of this post is to ask, could I wear this shirt these 3 ways, or should I stick to one of them? What do you think looks best?

I like the tied and untucked the best!

Don't feel bad, I was a little disappointed when I found out Luke and Leia were brother and sister too, lol!

I like tucked and un-tucked (tucked probably the best, but I would most likely wear it untucked because I feel more comfortable that way)

i like all 3, but tucked in the best! i think it proves you grew up in an all girl house. i'm not sure i would have ever seen those movies without brothers around! i'm doomed forever with an all boy house;)

I like the tucked version. It'd be cute if you roll the sleeves too!

Definitely the first two. That last one if you're feeling less dressy. :)

I like the first and second ways. Would the third work if you put a medium to wide belt over your natural waist? Also, you could try it under an army vest or tucked into a high-waisted skirt for more options.

I've never seen Star Wars, but those are some cool facts (they are brother and sister????? I totally thought they were lovers too, woopsie). I like the shirt tied. I'm a sucker for knotted button downs!

You rock all three ways! And I LOVE that you'd gone your whole life without seeing any of those incredible trilogies! They are pretty cool, huh?!

hahahaha! I know it was super shocking! One of the media world's best kept secrets! And I like all three looks, but I LOVE tucked in! It looks so clean, and makes your waist look so itty bitty!

the tie doesn't work for me. i like the other ways. there is something a little offputting about the shoes with this look though. i think it makes it all too androgynous. maybe femme it up with some ballet flats and jewelry.

I've still only seen 1 Star Wars movie, in high school, because my boyfriend made me! Hahaha.

P.S. I think the shirt looks great all 3 ways - depending on your mood! :)

Cute! I like the tucked and tied the best!

And I'm a huge Star Wars fan and never knew George Lucas was inspired by those things in Oakland. Very neat:)

tucked in and untucked look best :) and i totally hadn't seen any trilogy of movies before i met my husband...he was shocked and i informed him that i was not a dork. i shamelessly love LOTR now amongst other things previously deemed "dorky"

Tucked! I can't believe you didn't know luke and leia were brother and sister hehe :)

Tucked is by far my fave - but I know if it were me, I could never keep a shirt ALWAYS tucked, so of the second two, I like the tied a bit better. Also, you're supposed to root for Luke and Leia to kiss. The whole time there's all that build-up where they're like, mysteriously drawn to one another, just feel like they go together, Han Solo is all jealous, and then you find out they're siblings. Oh! (Everybody just acts like "duh, I knew that" because the movies have been out for so long and we know because we've seen them before!)
Nice husband's-wardrobe steal!

Haha, you're hilarious. Encouraging incest and all.... ;)

I think tucked in is my favorite. It seems much more put together to me. The tied makes me think of a cowgirl or something ( perfect for a country concert or picnic or something) and untucked is totally casual. So cute either way!

Tucked, tucked, tucked. I love your gray shoes SO much, it completes the laid-back, but chic vibe.

P.S. Love the original Star Wars trilogy (not a fan of the new series). The costumes, set and special effects are remarkable considering that it was made in the late 70s. I didn't know the tidbit about those huge structures in the background being the inspiration for the movie. Really neat!
