Did you know that in Berkeley and Oakland, Columbus Day is now called "Indigenous Peoples Day"?? Well, it is and so on this last Indigenous Peoples Day, I decided to celebrate the indigenous people of the Yosemite area at a cabin with friends and hiking. Thank you indigenous peoples.
Have you been to Yosemite? It is spectacular. I was laughing going through pictures because in all of the candid ones, we are all pointing:
We were probably pointing at views like this:
and this:
Breathtaking, huh? Funny how it shows no signs of fall. Are you taking any trips to see fall leaves this Autumn? Where do you think is the best place to experience Fall?

My husband and I went to Yosemite in June, and I agree, it's absolutely breathtaking. We both grew up in Florida and can probably count the mountains we've seen on one hand, so for us this was even more impressive. Thanks for bringing back happy memories :)

Boston is GLORIOUS in the fall.
Yosemite is so pretty, and that sounds like a nice way to celebrate.

I live in the Bay Area, too. I'm in Oakland/working in SF, but I'm from the east coast and boy, do I get major fall missing out here. You can sometimes get some good foliage out in Walnut Creek and Lafayette and the like, but if you know anywhere that's within day trip distance to fill my red leafed void, I'd be very glad to hear about it!
wow...amazing pictures!!!

I went to Yosemite a few weeks ago for the first time. I was completely blown away by it's beauty. It was one of my favourite things from my trip to America! Your pictures are beautiful! xxx
I was born and raised in CA and never made it to Yosemite. (we live in tx now). Hubs and I have plans to take the kiddos camping there someday. It's so pretty! Great pictures!

Wow, What amazing views. No wonder you were all pointing!
Still summer in the sierra! Yosemite is probably my favorite place on earth, but we're getting some good fall colors (for once) back here in Utah this year.
Also, if you're into non-fiction, check out "Early Days in the Range of Light." It's all about the first ascents of the major peaks in Yosemite and it's surprisingly suspenseful!
i love yosemite! climbing half dome was one of my life goals & i'm glad i got it out of the way early :)
I am soo jealous, Yosemite is my absolute favorite place EVER! I loooove it there!
You can see my pics if you want!
