My first question is, do you go out on black friday?? If so, what do you get? I've never been... and the more I think of it, I don't really know what'd I get or scour for. I'd like a pair of thick REI socks, a kayak, and more business pants (well, straight leg colored pants that I call business pants) but I don't know if braving the crowds is worth if for those three things (I don't know if kayaks go on black friday sale?).
Anyway, I have a question about these boots (and my face is strategically hid because it was 7am and I was on my way to work and my eyes hadn't fully woken up). So, I think I like these boots? I feel like they are very plain brown boots, but the brown is kind of loud.
Do the boots look off to you? If so, what are all my pant color options for brown boots? Do you wear yours with black pants?

Individually all the pieces are cute, but those boots do not match gray or black. Maybe (maybe!) something all black, but this outfit doesn't work.
I LOVE those boots. So cute! I think they'd look really good with a dark outfit--black or dark brown tights or pants. I love your cardigan! I don't go out on Black Friday...way too much crazy going on for me.
I like those boots - a lot. I think you can pair them with other neutrals like you have here, but I also think you can play with color quite a bit.
I would steer clear of black, just as a personal preference, but Navy is a great substitute with a pair of boots like that!

Hmm...the boots look fine with those pants to me. Maybe you're just thinking about it too much, haha. I do that all the time ;) I would wear those with black pants because they aren't chocolate brown, more of a caramel :)

Hmm...yes they are kind of "loud". I would just wear them with black tights and a muted colored top so the boots speak for themselves. I'm no fashion guru though :)

I don't think it's the color I think it's just the style that looks a little off. but still super cute! I love the whole outfit.

Something does seem a little 'off'...maybe a statement necklace would have helped to tie in the boots with the rest of the outfit??? I didn't do any black friday shopping! I slept in until 10am, and it was glorious! :)
I have ankle boots that color that I wear with black all the time. I am in love with these boots of yours. I think you can wear them with just about any color you wish. They'd look great with yellow or blue, also, I think.
I wear black with my brown boots all the time - jeans would also look great with that pair (which I think are really lovely).

LOVE the boots. {love, love love} cognac goes with so many things - red, black, brown, gray, mustard, orange..... you could wear them over denim too, of course! the only thing you need to pull something off is the desire to do so. and then rock it. :)
Cognac goes with everything I think. I like that color with black especially. :) I didn't go out on Black Friday, but did some online deals. :)
First of all I love this outift, suits you really well! now to the boot-thing: In my opinion, cognac brown boots go together with black pants, but I'd then combine something "brownish-golden"-knit thing with this, I think this "gets the colors closer together" (that's sounds stupid, but I really think it is like this!). I'd say that cognac brown boots work also with brown, red, mustard, dark blue and beige pants and of course with jeans.

I wear my brown boots with black pants all. The. Time. And I love how they look together! I think that since brown is a neutral it goes with everything, including other neutrals, which also includes black :)
I think this shade of brown goes with pretty much everything! this outfit looks perfectly well-matched to me, and these boots would look good with black for sure. Brown and black are neutrals! They almost always go together!

I've never done any black Friday shopping either. I worked retail for about 7 years and I usually had to work that day. Maybe next year I'll be apart of the BF madness.
Cute! I love your brown boots. I always wear mine with jeans, but I think gray, black, and tan are killer options too. I did hit Target around 12:30 AM, honestly because I was on my way home and just needed stuff, and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy when I bought hand soap and mascara...
