Grandma Again

This past weekend when we got our grandma and grandpa costumes, I spotted this lovely blouse for two bucks.

Or at least I thought it was lovely.  When I walked out of the dressing room, Rhett gave me a blank stare  and said it looked like a Grandma blouse.  Even though he didn't love it, I still purchased it.  I mean, two bucks? That's cheaper than a Big Mac.

So, I have this blouse now and I'm not exactly sure how to wear it.  And of course my husband is no help since he doesn't really like it.  I have about a million pictures so bear with me.

Option 1A: Blazer and Untied Bow
Blazer: Forever 21 Blouse: Thrift Store
Belt: TJ Maxx Jeans: Gap Shoes: TJ Maxx

Option 1B: Blazer and Bow

Option 2A: No blazer No Bow

Optione 2B: No Blazer and Bow

So, what do you guys say?  Do you like it better with the blazer or without? Bow or no bow?

And yes, I do realize that it doesn't really matter...and they all look similar.  But, thats what roommates are for, right? Answering lame questions that don't really matter before you leave the house.

That blouse is FANTASTIC. I think it works both ways, but I like how wearing it on its own shows off the pretty shoulder and sleeve detailing. I've seen lots of tie-neck blouses in the blogosphere lately but this is a particularly pretty one. I think the key to avoid looking granny is to keep other pieces of your look modern.

I think it's a great blouse! I actually like it all the ways you pictured it, but I think my favorite is no blazer and bow. I think you can switch it up though, and look great however you wear it :)

Your hubby is crazy, I LOOOOOOOOVE this blouse! It's so pretty and such an amazing color! Goes with just about everything! I also love it without the jacket and with/without a bow, your choice. With the jacket, I like it without the bow.

This blouse is a great find! Your hubby is just being a man, they don't know anything about fashion. It looks great with or without the blazer. The bow tie blouse is very trendy for fall. Love it!

love the blouse. i think with the blazer it is a little much since it goes all the way up to your neck. when you wear it by itself you may even want to try rolling up the sleeves. that is what i do with a lot of my "all covering" blouses.

I think I like the with blazer no bow approach the best, but they are all so lovely! If you go without the blazer I would choose the bow, just for fun.

No blazer, with bow!

Don't listen to him, this top is awesome. I'm a big fan of blazer + no bow. But no blazer + bow is a close second. The color is lovely.

My favorite is blazer, no bow.

No blazer no bow is my favorite. Gottah show off those awesome sleeves! And I think the bow shows it's age - if that makes sense?

I think that this blouse is tremendous and bows are so in right now. I actually like it with or without the blazer and with or without the bow. This is a great color on you as well. Never count on a boy (one who is not into fashion anyhow) to make these decisions for you. My bf pulls the same stunt too, but I love him anyway. ;-)

I seriously love them all! SUCH a gorgeous find! It would look super pretty with a high waisted skirt too.

Love the blouse, loved it with and without the blazer...and with or without the bow! Score for $2!

I personally love the blazer, no bow option best... although they all look pretty awesome! Your hubby is crazy for thinking it looks like a grandma shirt! & for $2 you can't beat that price!

I actually really like it. Bow, no blazer.

I like it both ways, with the blazer and without. You should wear it with a skirt, I bet it would look really cute!
I just bought two of these blouses and I can't wait to wear them.

Pretty color. I like it with the first look. :)

i don't care for the bow, but then again I'm just not a bow person. It's a cute shirt and I don't find it grandma-y--just more of a mature, sophisticated look.

WOW- $2.00 was a great buy on that blouse! I so would have snagged it to. I actually like it with & without the blazer. Two totally different looks but they both work. Personally, I don't like the bow. I think it makes you look to matronly (just my opinion) but without the bow it's stylish & super cute :)

i honestly don't see one thing grandmaish about this top!
i like it with and without the bow.
you tell hubby that he needs to cruise around a retirement center so he can understand what grandmaish really is lol

You know you've hit the nail on the head with fashion/style when it makes a straight man scratch his head in confusion. Ha ha. My boyfriend doesn't understand maxi skirts at all.

I love this blouse. I prefer it untied, since it adds some visual interest to an otherwise plain shirt-front. Left untied, it gives the whole shirt pizazz. When its tied, it definitely gives detail up near your neck, but then leaves a good amount of blank, plain space. I like the line of the untied scarf. And I think it looks great both with and without a blazer. Try some cardigans too.

I think it's an adorable blouse! I say no bow. Whatever you wear it with, no bow. And SCORE, $2!!?? Heck yeah!

That blouse is GREAT and very much like one that is on sale for almost $100 at Ann Taylor. I think you got an amazing deal.

Your blouse is a very pretty color. I like it tied as a bow with the jacket, but like it untied without jacket. Either way, it's a lovely find! The puff shoulders are darling.

I have been looking ALL OVER for blouses with bows! I love them! I had to pause my spending freeze to get myself one! Haha. I think that it looks good any way but my favorite would be with the blazer and the bow! So hard to choose though! My second favorite is without the blazer and still the bow. Mostly I'm just a super huge fan of the bow!!

I like blazer with no bow, and no blazer with bow.

I am TOTALLY jealous of this find - I have been looking everywhere for a blouse exactly like this! I love the color on yours too, so soft and feminine but not just plain cream. I love it untied, it just looks more natural and less fussy to me but really you can;t go wrong either way!

Honestly, I think you modernized it enough with the teal belt and wideleg jeans, that it's cute all four ways!!!
Seriously!

This is a beautiful blouse! I have seen so many similar blouses recently, but it's fantastic that you found one for just $2. My vote would be to wear it without the blazer, but with the bow. The bow really seems to make the blouse!
