July? December? Does it Matter?

Don't forget to enter the giveaway! (You could even enter it and give it as a gift for chrismahanukwanzakah).

Back in the spring I was worried if the red/white/blue outfit I had on was a little too fourth of July for spring. I have a similar question this time of year, except, can you wear patriotic outfits in the winter?

Are these colors too bright? Is there such a thing as colors that should only be worn during certain seasons?

Do you have colors you don't wear in the winter?

Sometimes I think that there are colors that I won't wear in a certain season but I think it all has to do with what you pair them with. And I think this outfit is perfect! :]

I think that's perfectly fine to wear during the winter!

Nah I think you can TOTALLY rock this in November/December...esp because it's in the 60s in the Northeast! Looks great :)

i would say it is not really the colors so much as the fabrics of clothing.
i like this outfit for anytime of the year.

I don't do white in the winter! I'm not sure why, I just don't. I think it's one of those crazy ideas my momma passed down to me LOL!

This outfit is totally not too patriotic. It's just downright cute! LOVE that striped top & cardi.

I wear all of my colors in the winter! I don't think there is a reason not to :)

Your outfit is really cute and I don't think it is too bright at all!! I love the blue pants!

Wearing bright colors, especially in the winter is definitely a do. It makes a gray day so much more pleasant. Love your blue pants!

I wore red/white/blue yesterday and I was a little worried about looking too patriotic, but it turned out okay. I think you look great and not ready for Independence Day! I say nothing's off limits in winter, especially brights--from the feedback I've received, winter is when people enjoy seeing bright colours the most!

No I say who Cares!! I don't think there should be rules as to what you can wear in what seasons :) I love these colors together, and those bright blue pants are so fun!

I think bright colors can be worn anytime of year. In the winter, I tend to stick to jewel tones and try to anchor them with neutrals. Love how you are styling your blue pants!

i dont think it matches at all : / If you had jeans on it would match but blue, the red and white and then the color of the sweater plus a new color in the shoes...I'd have to say it's a no go. but I think the pants are fine for winter! pair it with a big white/cream/black sweater..perfect!

I concur with all the above comments pertaining to the fact that it does not matter. If you're able to incorporate other "fall/winter" items or colors into an outfit, I believe that a color shouldn't be limited to certain seasons.

I am wearing a bright white dress today (with burnt orange sweater-tights! And tall boots! And a belted, chocolate cardigan! And an autumn-y scarf! It works! I swear!) so I don't know if I'm the best person to respond to this particular question with much authority...

That being said, I think that wearing red, white, and blue on the 4th of July looks patriotic, but I think wearing it any other day of the year just looks like a good color combination. I tend to layer more things (scarf! cardigan! belt!) in the colder months to keep from freezing, and to add interest and extra shots of bright colors to get me through those long days of nothing but dark, overcast skies.

I don't follow any of those color coded fashion rules. I wear what is nice and comfortable and looks cute no matter what. And I love the stripes and the green cardi. So cute.

It is a perfectly fine winter outfit! Maybe I break the rules because I wear whatever colors I want all times of the year!

I dig this outfit. I think it brings out some wintry cheer. We can't always wear grays and blacks right? ROCK IT.
