BUT, GUESS WHAT? We won't be too depressed for long..
Since we're both students-- we both have a spring break coming up in March.
And guess what else? When I went to Jacksonville for a conference I got bumped on two flights-- which means free Delta money!!
So we are considering two places. But since we are the two most indecisive people in the entire world, we need some major help.
Jamaica
or...
Costa Rica
So, I have three questions for you:
1. Have you ever been to either Costa Rica or Jamaica?
2. If you had to choose between Costa Rica and Jamaica, what would you choose?
3. Should we consider somewhere else besides these two? Where should we go?

I've been to both. I grew up in Costa Rica so I say Costa Rica ;)
costa rica! i haven't been to either - but don't ignore me yet. my friends have been to costa rica and say it is BEYOND beautiful and there are so many fun things to do and the food is amazing and the people are friendly (and it's cheap).
i haven't heard such glowing reviews of jamaica. i've heard that jamaica is more of a "party" vaca destination.
My vote is for Jamaica-- I've always wanted to go there
I have been to both . . . Costa Rica is a hundred times better. My husband is a surfer too, and there is much better surfing in Costa Rica. We found Costa Rica to be cleaner, the beaches were much nicer, the people were much nicer, the food was a million times better and overall we just loved it. I would never go back to Jamaica, and we stayed in a five star resort while there. It was just a dirty country with spicy food. That is my two-cents:)

ive been to jamaica, which is beautiful... however, it can be a little rough in certain areas. so personally, i would choose costa rica, i haven't been there, but ive heard such great things!
Costa Rica, hands down. No question. It's magical.
Loving your hat in the first photos. My vote is Costa Rica.
I have only been to two tropical locations (besides florida) in my life- hawaii and mazatlan, mexico. Both were wonderful, but I suggest stay as american as you can. haha! You'll enjoy having the clean and safe water.
I haven't been to either of those two places, but I have heard numerous times that Costa Rica is faaaaaaar better than Jamaica! I would absolutely go to Costa Rica over Jamaica just even based on hearing that so many times! So jealous!
Costa Rica! I have only spent a few days in Jamaica but swore I would never go back. It is dirty and full of tourist traps. I have heard wonderful things about Costa Rica.
Yeah, I have heard Cost Rica is AMAZEBALLS.
Billy and I loooooved Costa Rica. Super famous surfing too. We rented a car and drove down the entire coast of the country stopping at the best beaches along the way. I keep a detailed log of itineraries on our trips, so let me know if you want me to send any info your way :)
i would love to go to costa rica but i am afraid if i have to get shots to go there.
cabo san lucas is absolutely amazing - not sure if you guys have been there but i LOVE it!
Pieces of love
I've never been to Costa Rica but Luke and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We stayed at the Ocho Rios Sandals resort which was beautiful. We went on a glass bottom boat ride, ziplined through the jungle and walked up the gorgeous Dunns River Falls. I'd say you really can't beat a vaca in Jamaica.
go to costa rica! i spent a summer there teaching english and the surf is incredible! also you NEED to go to key west and the bahamas sometime in your life. maybe not for spring break, but it needs to happen!
Several of my friends have been to both and they all have said Costa Rica is by far the better of the 2..2 of my friends hated jamaica (mostly the resort but werent thrilled with the place either)! We are in the process of booking our honeymoon and it came between Costa Rica and the Bahamas (the larger Sandals resort there) and the Bahamas won. I'd say between the Bahamas and Costa Rica!
Costa Rica.
I have been to Costa Rica - I stayed at Punta Leona (http://hotelpuntaleona.com/) - and absolutely LOVED it. They have GREAT surf right on their property, and it is pretty centrally located to a lot of cool parts of CR.
Shoot. This is tough. Costa Rica?
i have been to Jamaica and it is beautiful
never been to Costa Rico, but friends that have said it was magical!!

I would definitely choose Costa Rica!!
I would love to visit either, but have never been. My cousin goes to Jamaica about once a year with her husband and they are pretty obsessed with it.
Costa Rica for sure. It is gorgeous and we had friends who lived there for years and raved about it being the most beautiful place around! My brother went on his honeymoon to Jamaica and they hated it - said they would never go back.
As an aside, have you ever been to the Dominican Republic? We went to Punta Cana last year and it was absolutely fantastic, gorgeous, magical and perfect!
I've been to both and for vacation purposes I highly recommend Costa Rica! I love that the jungle tends to kind of spill out onto the beach there.
i have a good friend from costa rica. i've never been but would choose costa rica over jamaica because of her and how much she loves her country. also, we went to st.lucia on our honeymoon and it was fabulous!
I went to Puerto Rico in December, and it was amazing! The waves are huge, and great for surfing. Its a beautiful island with VERY friendly people. Everyone speaks English and Spanish. The food is unique and so fresh! There are great resorts there that are definitely worth taking a look at. Its very easy to access from Knoxville too (2.5 hour flight to Miami, then 2.5 hour flight to San Juan, PR)! I'd say go there if you're looking for exotic/remote, yet great beaches. Checkout Playa de Azul (Blue Beach) in Luquillo and El Conquistador (its a resort).
No, never been to any of these places. Would love to. Probably would pick Costa Rica first though.

Loving your lip color.
COSTA RICA:-)
My husband and I were in the same situation 2 years ago. Grand Cayman or Costa Rica? We chose CR and are SOOOOO glad we did!!! What an adventure! Went to the western side of CR with my husband, loved it and can't wait to go back someday. The people are... incredible. The culture is amazing and the scenery is lush and green and unique. Go to Arenal - stay at the Observatory Lodge, in the jungle, and watch a live volcano explode from your bedside. Breathtaking. Then head to the ocean for a few days and enjoy the warm, tropical waters, and talking with the locals in town. Did 8 days for $2300 - worth every single penny. Email me @ Chelsea8447@gmail.com if you want more info.
Of the two I would totally choose Costa Rica. My hubby and I almost went there but ended up going to Aruba instead. I highly recommend Aruba. It was so beautiful! Because of the situation we were in, we were only on the island for 24 hours but it was SO worth it! The only strange thing about Aruba is that most people don't work on Sunday so the taxi to the airport was almost double what it was on Saturday when we went to our hotel.
we were thinking of going to Costa Rica but went to Roatan, an island in honduras instead. it's a small island, but has heaps to offer and is much more reasonable and safe if you want to something other then a all inclusive. We loved zipping around on scooters and all the other water and land activities. I did a post on it if you want to take a look: http://captivecreativity.blogspot.com/2012/01/highlights-of-roatan.html
but if i were to choose i would for sure say costa rica, they have wonderful options and good pricing, and also get out and do some jungle eco tourism. my sister did that and she said it changed her life!
NICE. Because I am a straight up fool I am considering going to New York for part of my spring break in March. I'll probably end up wading through waist deep snow while I'm there, but no biggie. I've never been to either place so both sound good to me!
I have been all over Central America and to Jamaica and I have to recommend San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua. Beautiful beaches, good surfing, lovely people, REALLY CHEAP. It's where Survivor: Nicaragua was filmed.
Tip for Costa Rica if you go: when I went to Costa Rica, I stupidly bought the cheapest ticket possible to the capital and then spent tons of time and money getting OUT of the capital. Definitely make sure you plan your trip better than I did!
I am from HB too!!! :) We recently moved to Spokane, WA (I wouldn't recommend it) and I miss home soooooo much!!!!
P.S. Never been to Jamaica or CR, but I bet you'll have fun no matter which one you choose!
I love your hat, so cute!
I would pick Costa Rica!!
I think costa rica but im 11 how would i know
Okay, I'm a little late to the party, but I've been to both Costa Rica and Jamaica, and both are absolutely fabulous. You would love either one. I've not been to an all-inclusive resort at either though, so I don't have any specific recommendations on that front - and I'm kind of convinced those are the way to go, in part because it's much more relaxing just to pay up front and not think about cost every time you want to eat or have a drink... I actually just returned from the Now Larimar resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and I recommend that! Great weather. And pretty good ease of travel - another thing I look for when I want a relaxing vacation. It's always handy to pick a location that has direct or easy flights from your local airport. And our resort in Punta Cana was only a 20-minute drive from the airport, versus the several hours it took to get from San Jose in Costa Rica to our costal spot... Any way you do it, have fun! Such a treat to get a trip like this with your hubby.
i got married in jamaica and then went back last spring (free trip). i really want to go to costa rica though.
you can read my jamaica posts here: http://lachapstickfanatique.blogspot.com/search/label/Jamaica
I've been to both countries. Hands down Costa Rica. Stay away from touristy areas. Rent a car. Beware of rainy season (see a video on my FB for a tantalizing drive through a flooded road). Ditch the car at the border and do a day trip to Nicaragua. My husband and I just went to Jamaica for Christmas. Expensive. Expensive.....but gorgeous beaches. What's your travel style? Are you planning on staying in a resort? Do you backpack? Shoot me an email for some tips...but I would say budget friendly, volcanoes, jungle....cant go wrong with Costa Rica. And they don't even have an army. How cool is that?
I have a house in punta leona club and i am looking for a roomate, stunning ocean view.

I've been to both. Both are tropical paradises but it doesn't get any more tropical than Costa Rica. CR Advantages include: The people are wayyyy nicer and you'll feel much safer, way more things to do, the waves are incredible. Jamaica Advantages: Much clearer water, but that's it.
Merely wish to make use of a font that says it's for personal only use, would it not be ok to use on blogger? Also, I don't
know if getting Google Adsense would make a difference.

You seriously make it look so straight forward with your presentation but I find this subject to
be honestly one matter that I feel I'd not at all understand. It seems too complex and extremely extensive for myself. I am eager for your subsequent publishings, I will try to get the dangle of it.
