GIRLS ONLY

I'm pretty sure that my dad is the only one who reads this blog, but this post is targeted towards women, so dad you can stop reading now.

This isn't a very exciting post, but I NEED HELP. I am in desperate need of a new bra. Desperate need. Where do you get yours? I haven't bought a bra in like 5 years, so I don't know where to go, and growing up I just went to the underwear drawer for my undergarment needs.  This is my current bra:

Just kidding! But seriously guys, I need some help.

I like the ones from Target. I forget what they're called exactly but I think the brand is Gilligan & O'Malley? not sure but they have a few colors maybe patters AND different styles like padded or regular, etc. They're the ones that have lace around the bottom and sides all the way to the back. And I think they're only around 20$. I don't really like lace because you can always see it through shirts but these I haven't had a problem.
hope this helped a little. At least it's an option!

lol. I doubt your dad is the only one reading this blog. But kudos to him for supporting you.

Speaking of support, I find support most important in bras. I have always like Victoria's Secret Bombshell But only because I have small breasts.

My best friend works at Nordstrom in lingerie and they have a really great fitting department! Their bras can be on the pricier side but it's worth it!

That said, I get myself some grandma minimizer bras from herroom.com - but they have cute ones, too, and pretty inexpensive! Hahaha.

I hate all the weird padding and lace in everything now, so I am a staunch fan of the sleek and comfortable calvin klein line...although I have a few from the dollar store that ain't bad!

hope this helps :)

You need to get refitted if you've not gone bra shopping in that long. Try a department store or a store that just sells underwear (such as Jockey or VS) and the girls there should be competent to fit you.

i love the Body by Victoria Multi-way bra!

i usually get mine at kohls or belk. i just bought some at belk the other day. they were on sale buy one get one 60% off (idk how long the sale was going on) but it was a decent deal. they have a good variety of decent brands... try a bunch on. seriously, they all fit different and its such a pain, but its worth trying a bunch on to figure out a good style/brand for you.

I really recommend going to Soma Intimates (in Chicos stores). Their bras are going to be in the $30-$40 range, but to me they are worth it because they are the ONLY ones I have ever found that didn't show nipples! And they have really neat prints and pretty colors. Also, the wire-free bras are still really supportive.

Victoria's Secret - I am small chested and I need all the thick padding to make myself feel better :P I have loved the Angels collection and the Body by Victoria collection. I agree with going to get fitted (having them measure you and tell you what will fit best is SO helpful and when you are wearing the right size it makes everything look better!) and the girls at VS are trained, as are most places that sell just lingerie. Last time I got fitted I found out I was wearing the complete wrong size - band and cup! Good luck!

Victoria Secret - I know it looks like it's all lingerie but they seriously have the best bra's ever! Definitely worth the price.

I'm a fan of Gap's T-Shirt bras. They are just simple not too much padding or boosting or maximizing/minimizing. Just something to support the girls.

wow, so many differing opinions! my experience has been than victoria's secret bras really are the best bras in the world, but frankly i'm just too cheap to lay down that kind of cash on a bra most of the time. i go for gap bras. great fit, cute styles, and most importantly for me, the right price.

Aside from the dollar tree comment I think I might be the cheapest one here. I think Costco has some pretty good t-shirt bras and they are 2 for $20. You can't beat that!

Victoria Secret, but more specifically their Incredible line in a demi cup. I am not a push-up or see through bra kind of gal. I just like comfortable and functional and this bra definitely does it for me! and it's on sale right now. http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265669477332&c=Page&cid=1321713089155&pagename=vsdWrapper

Victoria Secret is awesome. They measure and let you try on as many as you want.

I usually buy mine at Victoria's Secret, but since I am currently breastfeeding and knew that my size would only be different for a short amount of time, I started purchasing them at Target and to be honest, I haven't noticed much of a difference. And they are MUCH cheaper at Target.

i have a crazy size (34 H WTF?) so to get my actual size i go to boutiques but sometimes that just isn't going to happen. I sometimes find a bra at Victoria Secret but I love that I discovered Soma. Also http://www.barenecessities.com/ is great for finding crazy sizes.

Also, you should get measured for a new bra very 6 months so def get measured. you may be a totally different size then you think you are.

Victoria's Secret. And get measured! They do it for free there. I discovered my boobs were like, 2 sizes bigger than I thought, so it's really helpful to get a bra that's your actual size.
Once you buy a VS bra... you will never be able to wear anything else. Seriously. Best bras ever.

hah! This made me laugh! But I agree with some of the previous ladies... Go to Victoria's Secret. I get mine there and they last forever and are super cute! :)

TJ Maxx has a good selection and good prices!

You MUST be fitted first if you haven't bought a bra in 5 years, Lol. You have to. Nordstroms and Victoria's Secret train their girls well. Start there so you'll know your size ~ and ask them how they are determining what fits so you'll know if a bra is fitting well ~ and if you don't wanna dish out the $$ (understandable, though it is worth it), try the cheaper alternative places as mentioned by all the girls. Your ta-ta's are going to love you for this!! ;)

Victoria secret- and coming from a girl who doesn't spend money on anything, they are so worth it!

i'm another "too cheap for victoria's secret" so i always buy the gilligan & omalley brand from target, really any of the styles. they fit well, they're very comfortable, they last for a while, and they're pretty reasonably priced.

I like Victoria Secret but I am also too cheap for it so Wallmart is great for me.

I am a TJ Maxx'er/ Marshall's fan, too. Calvin Klein and the infamous Wonderbra at really great prices!

Costco actually has pretty good bras. That's where I get all of mine.

Aerie but from T.J. Maxx. Victoria's Secret Pink is also great, but kind of pricey. It really depends on what size you wear, most stores don't seem to carry anything smaller than a 34, which is a real bummer if you're petite.

i got my most recent bra from soma(http://www.soma.com/store/home.jsp) and i love it! they have great support and it's not so va-va-voom sexy as victoria's secret. AND they often run great sales! :)

If you have the money, go Wacoal or go home. Their bras are expensive but inSANEly comfortable. Like forget you're wearing a bra bra, and they come in a wide variety of sizes (but who cares about size variety? because you just want YOUR size). For something less expensive, I get most of my bras from Kohl's. The Daisy Fuentes line comes in my size (a rarity indeed) and is a pushup, which is great since I am tiny up top. Target's ok and the Hannah bra by Aerie is blissfully comfortable, so I love wearing mine whenever I'm having a crazy busy/active day.

New follower here...I just got a couple bras from Victoria's Secret that I love. I only buy them during the semi-annual sale, cause they are so expensive! I look forward to your posts and hope you will check out my new beauty/fashion blog!

Go to Victoria's Secret and get fitted. I bought two bras for $50 total last year (a few months into pregnancy) and they were totally worth it. They were simple--one black, one nude--not all flashy or sexy, but you could do that too!

I highly recommend Wacoal Bra's. Every since I bought my first one, I haven't bought any other bra brand. They are a bit pricey, but hey, for something you wear every day, it's definitely worth it. You can pick them up at Macy's or Nordstrom's, as well as online.

If you haven't been measured recently, I also highly recommend that you do that (either yourself, or professionally.) Seriously, once you find your right size, both you and "the girls" will be lifted right up. :P
