And today I realized that polka dots make me happy.
Originally I took these photos to ask you guys about the color combination. I felt a little bit crazy with three colors AND polka dots AND one neutral (I know, I'm so crazy...). I was curious if all of the colors combined made me look a little bit like Rainbow Brite.

But then, today while wearing these bright polka dots and bright color combination, I realized that I had a little hop in my step. Something about the bright colors and polka dots just made me have a little grin on my face.
So today, dear roommates, I have made an executive decision (are you proud of me for making a decision?) to keep this bright ensemble in my repertoire- not because I think it's the most stylish look on the planet-- but because it made my rainy-day-frown turn upside down.
While the weather continues to be dreary and overcast I need a little sunshine from you guys.

My husband makes me happy. My friends and family make me happy. Reading your blog makes me happy ;) Wearing rain boots makes me happy. Cooking for a group of people I love, writing silly things on my blog, crafting (and discovering I have random talents I didn't think I have--mostly inspired by pinterest), singing, and going to school all make me happy!

Getting to sleep in, sour patch kids, chocolate covered caramel corn, Disneyland, fresh cut flowers, Mexican food, and my awesome husband and kiddos all make me happy!!
I second the Gospel making me happy...and my babies make me happy, however, running does not. :) That is such an awesome color combo....how can it not lift your mood!
