Valentine's Day Attire

When you're a PhD student your life is full of writing research proposals, reading articles, and sitting through hours of class.  I always have to think of little things to look forward to-- to get me through the days.

So, for the past few weeks I have been looking forward to Valentine's day!  I mean, you get to go out to dinner, eat tons and tons of chocolate, and spend time with  your best friend-- what's not to love?  It's just so exciting.

It's been written on our huge whiteboard wall calendar for weeks.
I always walk by our large calendar and get so excited when I see the "DATE NIGHT!!!" written in purple and pink.  And then to make it even more exciting (and to avoid homework), I start plotting what I can wear on our date night.

Here is what I've been debating about....

Option #1
Option #2
Option #3
Option #4

Yes, I realize it doesn't really matter what I wear on a date with my husband.

But, if you wouldn't mind indulging in some of the small fun that I have in my life--and letting me know which option you like best and which is most Valentine's Day appropriate-- that'd be fabulous.

well it depends on what you are doing for date night of course but i like the first outfit i think.

boys usually like a less fussy outfit and i think that ones is cute without being too much.

How about the pink blazer over the houndstooth number? Cute and chic and matches V day colors.

Hands down, the first option. I LOVE it. It spoke to me when I first saw all the options, especially with the brown belt. Super cute. But how about some loose, wavy sexy hair instead of tied back? ;)

I say the second skirt with the houndstooth cardigan!

I voted for black dress, thinking pink blazer over black dress. I do like the houndstooth shirt though.

I don't know if I like the pencil skirt with the houndstooth. Might look like you just came from the office.

I would choose 1 if it is more casual and 3 if it is dressier. Both with a bold red lip and lots of mascara!! Maybe valentine-y mani to go with?

i think the question should be what does he want you to wear? likely nothing...not you can't do that in public (in most countries). also where did you get those pants in option 1?? love them!!
