But, super exciting, right? Is anyone as excited about Baby Baker as I am? Probably not. I'm super excited.
Ok, but back to the real reason I am writing this post:
Long skirts/dresses and tall boots-- can you wear them together?
When you can't see any skin to break up the boots and skirt?
Sweater: Target Dress: DownEast
Boots: Piperlime
So, pretty much what I'm asking is-- Can I wear boots with this long dress?

Hmm I think you can wear dresses shorter than the one you're wearing with boots, and I think you can wear dresses longer than the one you're wearing with boots. I admit that specific dress is a bit of an awkward boot length but I don't think it looks awful.
I totally agree with Rose. I wear boots with my maxi skirts/dresses all of the time. The dress is a slightly awkward length for those boots, but I think it's totally okay.
yeah... its not quite working for me. super cute dress though!
i love it. love the dress. love the boots.
I think that this look totally works!
Nope - the boots look odd with a dress that length. There needs to be either some space between them, or the dress should be longer. I love that dress, though!
I think it looks fine. In the second pic you can see some skin, which makes it look better. I think if the dress or the boots were like an inch shorter it would look perfect! I love these colors!

Haha you're so funny monica. you def do NOT look pregnant.
i think you can wear those boots with a longer skirt or a shorter skirt but not that length
I'm with you Monica. I can't decide how I feel about it. I don't think I would really be bothered by it if I saw someone wearing it walking down the street. But i love the colors. and the dress.
I think you CAN, but I don't know about this particular combo. I think a fuller, more a-line skirt + a skinnier, heeled boot works, though!
Boots totally works with the dress. It's a great way to toughen up "pretty." Seattle Beauty and Fashion - Girlie Blog Seattle
Ummm, I have to say that if the dress or boots were even just an inch shorter, this look would be perfect! Like, the second picture looks great, but I'm not a fan of the first.
I would sadly have to say no. too covered up and squashed looking : /
I think you can but not that dress with those boots. I also agree that maybe shorter or longer but that length and that particular dress and those boots just aren't working for me. Love that dress and cardi though!
I absolutely love this outfit + YES to the boots!

Personally, I really dislike the tall boots with long skirt thing. I don't find it very flattering--it makes your legs look much wider than they really are and your legs look stumpy. Much better to have some skin in her to break it up.
You can do anything Doll!
Seriously wear boots and a long Dress - paired up with confidence and you can literally pull anything off. Lady gaga does it everyday with food! LOL

I love the outfit but I think it would work even better if some of your knee were showing, just to kind of break it up a little. other than that it's perfect :)
This is something I've been pondering in my own wardrobe.. should I or should I not do the boot thing with the long dress. I'm glad you asked it so I could see others opinons on this look too. Love the polka dots and cardi colors!
