European Travel Maxi

Do you guys remember when I asked what shoes I should bring on my European adventure?  Well, I actually ended up getting both.

But, I can't bring two pair of everything in my closet.  I have created a "To Pack" list and I decided to bring one maxi.  Of course I can't decide which maxi to bring.

Which maxi skirt do you think would be the most versatile for traveling?

Option 1

Option 2

 Option 3

Do you guys think Option 1, 2, or 3 would be best for traveling?

Also, what is your "must have" travel item?  Is there anything you always make sure to bring with you when you travel?

Reader Submission

We're so happy to have Lauren here from Gypsy Pioneer. It somehow still amazes me each time I'm reading a blog of a cute, stylish girl and then I find out they're a mom. The word "mom" still lends itself to the idea of mom jeans and festive sweaters in my mind, but many of you out there, including Lauren, prove that that is not the case any more. Here's Lauren:

1st question:
Does this outfit look better with heels...or flats?
I feel like I am constantly asking myself this question! I never can decide if my heels or flats look better. With this outfit, I feel like the heels make my legs look longer and slimmer, but worry the skirt is too short. What are the rules for length of skirt and shoes?
2nd question:
This was my attempt at pattern mixing...my polka dot cardigan with a striped top...is it too much? What are the pattern mixing rules? They are both black and white, and both on top, which I think might be a bit much. What do you think?

ps. sorry about the wrinkled skirt...this girl doesn't iron unless it's an emergency :)

Please Don't Judge Me By this Post

I remember about a year ago when I kept seeing blogs talk about "Essie" nail polish, and I always thought, 'What's the big deal?' The big deal is that when you paint your nails with it, it looks like a manicure! For real, I was shocked at how nicely my toe nails looked with just one coat of this stuff.

You probably have no interest in me telling you this, but I'll give a little background. In the past 5 years my nails have either been painted red, pink, or red with sparkles. Mainly because I only have a red bottle of nail polish and once I was somewhere where a friend had pink, so those have been my color choices. Well folks, exciting stuff is happening in my life, I think I'll buy a new bottle of nail polish. I know, I live on the edge.

So, I know it's a small purchase, but I still want to make the best one, so these are the two colors I am deciding between. Which one would you go for (and don't say both, because for $16 I could get something way better than nail polish- like a few boxes of it's-its).
